KonKell Comprehensive Return, Refund & Exchange Policy

At KonKell (https://konkell.com/), we engineer our consumer-grade chainsaw sharpeners and hardware tools to the highest industry standards. We stand firmly behind the durability and performance of our products. However, we understand that online purchasing requires trust. To ensure you can shop with absolute confidence, we have established a clear, fair, and legally compliant Return and Refund Policy.
Please read the following terms carefully. By making a purchase on our website, you agree to the conditions outlined below.
1. Order Cancellations
We process orders quickly to ensure your tools arrive as fast as possible. If you need to cancel or modify your order, please contact us at kkservice@konkell.com within 24 hours of placement.
- Unshipped Orders: If your order has not yet been processed or dispatched from our warehouse, we will cancel it and issue a full refund to your original payment method immediately.
- Shipped Orders: Once a tracking number has been generated or the package has been handed over to the carrier, the order cannot be intercepted or canceled. You will need to wait for the package to arrive and initiate a standard return in accordance with our 30-Day Discretionary Returns policy.
2. The 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee (Opened & Tested)
We want you to be absolutely confident in your KonKell sharpener. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the product within 7 calendar days of delivery for a full refund, even if the package has been opened.
- Condition of the Product: The item may be opened and tested, but it must remain in excellent, like-new condition. It must not show signs of heavy, sustained use, physical damage, oil stains, or permanent wear. All original accessories, manuals, and the original retail packaging box must be included in the return.
- Zero-Cost Return: For returns initiated within this 7-day satisfaction window, KonKell will provide a pre-paid return shipping label at no cost to you.
- Anti-Abuse Clause: We reserve the right to inspect the returned item. If the product is returned heavily soiled, significantly worn, or with missing components, we reserve the right to reject the return or deduct a restocking fee (up to 20%) from your final refund to cover the depreciation of the goods.
3. 30-Day Defective Product Warranty (Quality Issues)
Your purchase is protected against manufacturing defects. From day 8 up to 30 calendar days from the delivery date, if your KonKell product demonstrates a functional failure or manufacturing defect:
- Our Commitment: We will repair, replace, or refund the defective item at our sole discretion.
- Return Shipping: KonKell will cover 100% of the return shipping costs and the freight for sending the replacement item to you.
- Burden of Proof: To initiate a defect-related return, the buyer must provide clear photographic or video evidence demonstrating the issue, alongside a detailed description.
- Exclusions: This warranty strictly excludes damages resulting from improper use, unauthorized modifications, accidental damage (e.g., dropping the machine), and normal wear and tear on consumable parts (e.g., grinding wheels) unless proven defective upon arrival.
4. Damaged Upon Arrival (Transit Damage)
We package our machinery and hardware securely, but rough handling by logistics carriers can occasionally occur. This is separate from a manufacturing defect.
- 48-Hour Reporting Window: You must inspect your package immediately upon delivery. Any physical damage to the exterior box or the machine itself must be reported to our support team within 48 hours of the delivery timestamp.
- Evidence Required: You must provide clear photographs of the damaged shipping box (including the shipping label) and the damaged product. Please do not discard the original packaging until the issue is resolved.
- Resolution: KonKell will expedite a replacement unit or send the necessary replacement parts at zero cost to you, and we will handle the damage claim with the carrier. Claims submitted after the 48-hour window may be denied as we lose the ability to file a claim with the shipping company.
5. 30-Day Discretionary Returns & Exchanges (8 to 30 Days Window)
If you wish to return an opened product between the 8th and 30th calendar day of delivery because you ordered the wrong model or simply no longer need it, we accept discretionary returns under the following terms:
- Condition for Return: The product must be in merchantable, like-new condition. It must include all original accessories, manuals, and undamaged retail packaging.
- Shipping Responsibility: The buyer is strictly responsible for all return shipping costs. We highly recommend using a trackable courier service and purchasing shipping insurance, as KonKell cannot assume liability for returns lost or damaged in transit.
- Exchanges for Different Models: If you require a different specification, you are responsible for the return shipping of the original item. Once inspected, we will issue a store credit or refund so you can place a new order. Alternatively, we can process a direct exchange, but you will be invoiced for any price difference and the shipping cost of the new unit.
- Restocking Fee: Products returned under this clause may be subject to a Restocking Fee of up to 15% of the purchase price, deducted directly from the refund amount, if the item shows signs of handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and functioning.
- Non-Refundable Fees: Original shipping charges paid at the time of checkout are non-refundable.
6. Products Ineligible for Return
For safety, hygiene, and logistical reasons, the following scenarios are strictly excluded from our return policy:
- Any return request submitted after 30 calendar days from the delivery date.
- Consumable accessories that have been significantly used or improperly installed.
- Items returned without a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
7. Beyond 30 Days (Manufacturer Warranty)
After 30 calendar days from delivery, your product is no longer eligible for a standard return or refund. However, we stand behind our engineering. For mechanical failures or motor issues occurring after this 30-day window, your purchase is protected by our [1-Year Standard Warranty]. Please contact our support team for assistance with repairs and replacement parts.
8. Standardized RMA Process (How to Return)
To guarantee a smooth and secure return process, all returns must strictly adhere to our RMA procedure:
- Initiate Request: Contact our Customer Support team with your Order ID, proof of purchase, and the reason for your return (including evidence for defective/damage claims).
- Receive RMA & Instructions: If your request is authorized, we will issue a unique Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number and provide the designated warehouse address.
- Secure Packaging: Pack the item securely. You must write the RMA number clearly on the outer shipping box. Do not write directly on the product's retail packaging.
- Unauthorized Returns: Any package returned to our facilities without a valid RMA number, or "Returned to Sender" without prior authorization, will be refused or held without refund.
9. Refund Timelines & Processing
- Inspection Period: Please allow 3-5 business days for our warehouse engineers to inspect the item after it is received.
- Refund Issuance: Once approved, the refund will be automatically applied to your original method of payment.
- Bank Processing: Depending on your financial institution, please allow an additional 5-10 business days for the funds to reflect in your account.
Statutory Rights (EU/UK Consumers)
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Directive. You retain the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods. Please note that return shipping costs for discretionary cancellations under the 14-day cooling-off period are the responsibility of the buyer, in accordance with applicable law, unless the item falls under our 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee policy.
